According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, flu season usually begins in October and can last through May. The CDC recommends that everyone 6 months of age and older should get a flu vaccine. Many healthy people, think, “Why bother. If I get the flu, so what?” People in good health rarely have complications from the flu; however while their otherwise healthy bodies are incubating the flu virus, they can transmit that virus to people who are at high risk for complications, such as children and the elderly. This year, get the flu vaccine for the ones you love! Learn more about the flu at the excellent CDC website.
