Habitat for Humanity ReStoreHabitat for Humanity ReStores are the best kept secret in home improvement bargains.

We’re happy to spread the word because Habitat for Humanity ReStores are nonprofit home improvement stores and donation centers that sell new and gently used furniture, home accessories, building materials, and appliances to the public at a fraction of the retail price. All proceeds go toward building Habitat homes with the local Habitat affiliate.

ReStores are a great place to shop for your home improvement needs. Shoppers can find everything from standard windows and doors to unusual tiles and rare vintage finds – all under one roof – at discounts of 50-75% off the retail price. Many items are donated directly from builders and are in new condition. We’ve seen Kohler sinks, Lowes paint, and Milguard windows.

The ReStore Mission

Through the selling of donated construction and home related items:

1.      Increase the number of homes built for low-income families.
2.      Prevent usable items from being put in landfills.
3.      Provide quality building materials to the general public at discounted prices.

Many Habitat for Humanity ReStores post photos of their inventory on-line. Follow the links below for more information about your local ReStore. Be sure to leave us a comment with your favorite ReStore find.
