Oriental Cockroach

Cockroach in Sink

What place is dark, cool, and often damp? Your garage: the favorite location of the oriental cockroach. Oriental cockroaches are large, with adults topping 1.25 inches in body length. They are dark brown, almost black, and reside in cool damp, dark places such as garages, basements, water meter boxes, in thick ground cover and in drains. At night, oriental cockroaches may enter buildings in search of food. They are unable to climb smooth surfaces, such as sinks and tubs. Often the first sign that your home has been invaded by oriental cockroaches is when one is trapped in the bathroom sink and frightens the bejeebers out of you in the morning. You do not have to face oriental cockroaches alone. Call Thrasher Termite & Pest Control at the first sign of an infestation.
