Thrasher Termite & Pest Control treats subterranean termites by…
…applying a liquid termiticide around the foundation of your home to create a continuous treatment zone. The termiticide Thrasher uses is a professional termite defense product not available to homeowners. It uses an advanced nonrepellent, or “undetectable,” liquid technology that termites cannot see, smell, taste, or avoid. Instead, subterranean termites contact, ingest, and share the material, completely unaware that doing so will inevitably kill them and the other termites in the galleries. To their peril, subterranean termites neither avoid the treatment zone nor try to find a way around it.
There are three application methods used to create a continuous treatment zone around a structure. “Trenching” is used in soil, typically around the exterior perimeter of the house. After a shallow trench is created, the termiticide is applied to the bottom of the trench and then the trench is back-filled with soil. “Rodding” involves inserting a hollow rod into the soil and dispensing the liquid termiticide–much like a giant syringe. Rodding is typically used when there is dense vegetation around the exterior perimeter of the house. “Drilling” is necessary when slabs or other hard surfaces are adjacent to the foundation of a house. After the hard surface is drilled, a rod is used to inject the termiticide into the soil. (When drilling is required, Thrasher Termite & Pest Control patches the surfaces after treatment.)
